Luncheon at The Admiralty

It’s always a real treat when my father comes to town for a weekend visit. We met in Trafalgar Square recently and were looking for somewhere we could catch-up over lunch. It was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon The Admiralty pub operated by Fullers brewery.

This former bank (Union Bank of London designed by FW Porter in 1871) has been transformed into a stunning representation of HMS Victory, each floor representing a particular deck.

The attention to detail here is really something, even to the point of naming the private staff entrance ‘The Brig’.

They have a great food menu and we can can especially recommend their special homemade pies

They also serve some wonderful ales – Seafarers being our drink of choice – a portion of the cost of a pint goes to the Seafarers charity.

Stop by if you are in the vicinity, it’s really worth a visit.
